Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026 · Your privacy matters to us.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including: name and email address when you register; profile information such as bio, skills, and contact details when you create an expert profile; project information when you submit or claim a listing; payment information processed securely by Stripe (we do not store card details); and communications you send to us.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you use SQWAD, we automatically collect certain information including: log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent); device information; cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain sessions and improve user experience; and usage analytics to understand how the Platform is used.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Platform; process transactions and send related information; send administrative messages, updates, and promotional communications (you may opt out); respond to your comments and questions; monitor and analyze usage patterns; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: service providers who assist in operating the Platform (e.g. Stripe for payments, hosting providers); other users as part of your public profile (only information you choose to make public); law enforcement or regulators when required by law; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Expert Profile Visibility

Expert profiles are publicly visible. For Maverick-tier experts, contact details are hidden from public view. Corporal and Elite-tier experts have their contact details visible to authenticated users. Users who spend credits to unlock an expert's contact details gain access to that expert's email, Telegram, and website. You control what contact information you include in your profile.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality. We use analytics tools to understand usage patterns — these may set their own cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be retained for legal, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes even after account deletion.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure payment processing via Stripe, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform contains links to third-party websites and projects. SQWAD is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit, particularly Web3 projects listed on our Platform.

10. Children's Privacy

SQWAD is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to the personal data we hold about you; correction of inaccurate data; deletion of your data; restriction of processing; data portability; and objection to certain processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us through the Platform.

12. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using SQWAD, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on the Platform and updating the "last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
